About the garments

• The entire event will showcase roughly 180 garments total (includes SAV and ATL)
• Each world may have between 20-40 garments featured. An official number cannot be determined until we get more technical information over the next week or two.
• The order of the garments in each world is more dependent on what works and looks the best in the scene.
• Garment assignments in each world will be chosen based on which ones agree most with their environments. For example, a colorful style might look best in the black and white world, as compared to a colorful one.
• One final piece/garment will be chosen per student.

• The inspiration for this approach was the **CoMotion 2018 main title sequence.**

• Fairyland will be a muted limited palette world.

  • The “fairy” will be a device that takes us on a journey and helps reveal each world.
  • Fairyland will introduce the gateways that will be explored.
  • Each world is considered a part of the main show.

• “Runway” models will be shot and incorporated into each world.

  • We will need to start thinking about camera setups and integration techniques.
  • Most likely, SCAD will hire a professional team to do the final shoot, but we will need to direct the process and perhaps shoot proof of concept/placeholder footage ourselves

• Again, please note that all the imagery you see in the PDF are visual talking points used to communicate/sell the idea. We can embrace the images or come up with alternatives.

• Note the image with the garments hanging from trees. There will be a finale moment that reveals many garments at once. This idea will be a creative solution to show a lot of student work not featured in the main show/worlds.

• WE ARE LOCKED, however, on the themes/worlds and structure.
